Overview
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Research and Development (R&D) team, focusing on the design and development of new and existing products in the oil and gas and marine sectors. Your work will contribute significantly to advancing the company's New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, ensuring designs align with technical specifications and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Produce 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings in SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to develop new product concepts and enhance existing designs.
- Ensure designs comply with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support design reviews, prototyping, and testing activities.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and manage revision control.
Requirements
- Degree, HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a mid-level Mechanical Design Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience in oil and gas or subsea applications is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with hydraulic or large-scale mechanical systems is beneficial.
- Attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to travel reliably to the on-site location.
