Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to engage in an exciting client project, primarily working remotely with occasional travel to customer sites. This hybrid contract role requires a deep expertise in networking protocols and related technologies, where the contractor will focus on routing and switching, as well as implementation of wireless technologies and VMware NSX.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement routing and switching solutions using Catalyst and Nexus technologies.
- Deploy and configure wireless networks based on project requirements.
- Manage VMware NSX and its components, including Distributed Firewall.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth integration of DNS and SDWAN solutions.
- Conduct troubleshooting and optimization of network performance.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for on-site assessments.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of expert experience in Routing and Switching.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with wireless technologies.
- Proficient in VMware NSX and its components for a minimum of 5 years.
- Familiarity with DNS and SDWAN concepts.
- Experience with deployment and implementation of load balancers and firewalls.
