Overview
We are seeking a Network Engineer for a 12-month day rate contract focused on developing secure and scalable network architectures. The contractor will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with various teams to manage and optimize cloud-based network resources while implementing robust security measures. This role emphasizes hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki and cloud networking through AWS or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Develop secure network architectures leveraging VPNs, VPCs, and load balancers.
- Provision and manage cloud-based network resources on AWS and Azure.
- Enforce security measures, including firewalls and compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues for optimal operation.
- Connect cloud environments with on-premises infrastructure securely.
- Utilize automation tools to streamline network operations and reduce manual tasks.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, including switches, SD-WAN, and wireless.
- Proficient in designing and supporting network infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
- Knowledge of network fundamentals and protocols such as TCP/IP, VLAN, WAN, and BGP.
- Experience with firewalls, preferably Palo Alto or Fortigate.
- Familiarity with VPN technologies and cloud networking strategies.
