Overview
We are seeking a Senior Supportability / Obsolescence Engineer to address obsolescence issues and support through-life sustainment in a remote work environment. The contractor will work with cross-functional teams to assess obsolescence risks and produce technical solutions, ensuring the ongoing availability of systems within Defence, Aerospace, or Maritime sectors. This role requires a strong focus on communication and stakeholder management, as well as technical documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and investigate obsolescence issues and change queries.
- Assess and mitigate obsolescence risks.
- Produce technical solution documentation and recommendations.
- Support through-life sustainment and availability activities.
- Support and maintain Obsolescence Management Plans (OMP).
Requirements
- Experience in Obsolescence Management, DMSMS, Supportability or ILS.
- Defence, Aerospace, Maritime or MOD programme experience.
- Knowledge of IEC 62402, lifecycle management and risk mitigation.
- Experience producing technical reports and engineering recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
