Overview
We are seeking a Power Systems Engineer to contribute to onshore projects by performing essential power system studies. The contractor will collaborate with project teams and oversee third-party vendors to ensure accurate equipment sizing and analysis. This role demands immediate engagement and offers a blend of office and remote working, providing flexibility in the work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit, and harmonic analysis.
- Perform equipment sizing and dynamic motor starting assessments.
- Manage arc flash and transient stability studies.
- Utilize EMT software to deliver power system analysis for projects.
- Oversee and coordinate with third-party vendors on relevant projects.
- Provide intermediate know-how using ETAP software for analysis and assessments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in captive power generation, with or without grid connection.
- Strong knowledge of power system studies and associated methodologies.
- Intermediate proficiency in ETAP software.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and analyze harmonic studies and short circuit analysis.
- Experience overseeing third-party vendor performance in electrical projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to power systems engineering.
