Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in Drones and UAVs for a 6-month contract position, with a hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days on-site. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support the development and integration of complex aerospace systems, contributing throughout the product lifecycle from requirements gathering to testing and debugging.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of complex electrical and electronic systems throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Develop, capture, review and manage system and subsystem requirements.
- Contribute to electrical system architecture and overall system definition.
- Translate system-level requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Work closely with electrical, electronics, software, mechanical and controls engineers.
- Participate in prototype builds and system integration.
- Investigate system-level issues and support fault finding and debugging.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer within a complex engineering environment.
- Strong electrical or electronic systems background.
- Hands-on experience with system integration and testing.
- Ability to understand electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience working across multiple stages of the product development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with system architecture and interface definition.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama or Polarion.
