Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a dynamic team in supporting a range of live and pre-construction projects within the construction and engineering sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with project, commercial, and delivery teams to develop and maintain robust planning programmes, ensuring accurate reporting and effective project management. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while engaging in a variety of tasks that contribute to successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain project programmes using industry-standard planning software.
- Support tender and pre-construction planning activities, including methodology and sequencing.
- Monitor progress, analyse delays, and report variances against baseline programmes.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure accurate reporting and realistic forecasting.
- Provide planning input for change management, risk reviews, and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare clear planning reports, dashboards, and programme narratives for internal and client use.
- Attend site visits and progress meetings as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Planner within construction, engineering, or infrastructure.
- Strong working knowledge of planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, MS Project).
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and project lifecycles.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across multiple teams.
- Ability to manage workload independently and deliver to deadlines.
- Availability to start immediately or at short notice is advantageous.
