Overview
We are seeking a Java Tech Lead to join a dynamic software consultancy that is scaling up following significant project wins in the iGaming industry. In this role, you will lead a product-based team, driving delivery and providing technical direction while engaging with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. This position embraces a 'you build it, you run it' approach, allowing the team to take ownership of the entire system lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead a product-based team in delivering software solutions.
- Provide technical direction and ensure high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical goals with business needs.
- Manage ambiguity and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and production support of applications.
- Promote best practices in software engineering including TDD and CI/CD.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Java Tech Lead, particularly in the iGaming or betting industries.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Experience with event-driven systems using Kafka.
- Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, and MSK.
- Knowledge of TDD, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Understanding of observability and AI-assisted engineering principles.
