Overview
We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to oversee the contractual and commercial change processes for a major infrastructure program. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with commercial, project management, planning, and engineering teams to ensure timely identification and assessment of changes across multiple live project workstreams. This role is designed for a professional with a strong background in NEC contracts and significant experience managing Compensation Events and contractual changes.
Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for managing and controlling change across multiple project workstreams.
- Identify potential changes and ensure timely issuance of contractual notices.
- Manage the Compensation Event process from identification to agreement.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive change and Compensation Event registers.
- Assess the commercial impact of proposed changes in collaboration with project teams.
- Ensure changes are substantiated with supporting records and contractual evidence.
- Monitor outstanding changes and drive matters toward resolution.
- Provide commercial guidance to project and Quantity Surveying teams.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
- Extensive experience in managing Compensation Events and contractual change.
- Previous experience in a senior commercial or dedicated change management role.
- Demonstrable experience managing change across complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of contractual entitlement and commercial substantiation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience in water, utilities, M&E, energy, or major infrastructure projects is advantageous.
