Overview
We are seeking a Finance Reporting Business Analyst to play a crucial role in a major Finance BI transformation programme. In this position, you will lead the functional aspects of the project, working closely with Finance stakeholders, Architects, Developers, and the BI team to enhance finance reporting capabilities using Microsoft Fabric. This is a high-impact role focused on requirements gathering, specification development, user acceptance testing, and change management, contributing significantly to the success of key finance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering workshops with Finance stakeholders.
- Convert business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Act as the key liaison between Finance and technology teams.
- Define data model, reporting, and governance requirements.
- Support the design of scalable ETL and reporting solutions.
- Own UAT planning, execution support, and defect triage processes.
- Design and coordinate change management activities for go-lives.
- Produce process maps, data dictionaries, and requirements documentation.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst in BI, Data Warehouse, or Analytics programmes.
- Proven track record in gathering requirements and leading UAT processes.
- Experience in managing stakeholders in both Finance and Technology domains.
- Ability to lead or mentor Business Analysts within a project environment.
- Solid understanding of finance reporting, transformation, or systems programmes.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Experience with Finance reporting workstreams, including Case Margin Reporting and Revenue Recognition Reporting.
- Highly desirable experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and SQL Server/SSAS environments.
