Overview
The Fullstack Developer will join a strategic modernization program within the Digital Distribution function of a leading specialist insurer. This role focuses on reducing technical debt across critical broking platforms, modernizing legacy applications, and delivering new functionality within a mixed Azure and on-prem environment. The successful candidate will primarily work with Angular for front-end development, while also engaging in .NET backend work, and collaborating with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to enhance engineering practices and improve product quality.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern Angular applications and user interfaces.
- Build and maintain .NET APIs and backend services.
- Refactor legacy code and contribute to technical debt reduction initiatives.
- Support the modernization of existing platforms and applications.
- Improve deployment processes and release reliability.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor developers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering function.
- Champion engineering best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- Strong Angular and TypeScript development experience.
- Strong .NET / C# development experience.
- Experience working on legacy modernization and technical debt reduction projects.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong Azure cloud experience.
- Experience working within CI/CD environments.
- Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience.
