Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with expertise in PHP and Laravel to contribute to a high-profile online marketplace project. This role involves joining a seasoned team during a significant technology transformation, focusing on both front-end and back-end development within a complex platform. The selected contractor will work in a fast-paced environment, embracing innovative solutions and advocating for technical decisions while enhancing the platform's capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Fix issues and build new features within the existing PHP and Laravel stack.
- Engage in end-to-end development across front-end, APIs, and data management.
- Participate in the migration towards a service-based architecture, including AWS evaluation.
- Advocate for technical decisions and communicate them effectively to the team.
- Adapt quickly to changes in a complex, high-volume environment.
- Collaborate with the team to implement agentic AI workflows and integrate retail media solutions.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in full-stack development with a strong focus on PHP and Laravel.
- Proven ability to work within and enhance a large, established codebase.
- Comfort in advocating for and communicating technical decisions.
- Experience with complex, high-volume platforms, demonstrating the ability to deliver at pace.
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform or CDK) is desirable.
- Background in retail or e-commerce projects is a plus.
