Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with expertise in PHP and Laravel to contribute to a high-volume online marketplace. The successful candidate will join a long-term team tasked with a significant technology transformation, focusing on implementing cutting-edge features and maintaining existing functionality within a complex platform. This role offers an opportunity to engage in full-stack development, including front-end, APIs, and data management, in a flexible working environment that primarily supports remote work with occasional office visits.
Responsibilities
- Fix and enhance existing features of the client-facing platform using PHP and Laravel.
- Develop new functionalities that align with the roadmap for the online marketplace.
- Engage in end-to-end full-stack work, ensuring seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
- Advocate for technical decisions and effectively communicate them to the team.
- Contribute to the transition toward a service-based architecture and AWS infrastructure.
- Work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, delivering solutions efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior or Principal Full Stack Engineer with genuine end-to-end capabilities.
- Strong proficiency with PHP and Laravel in a large, established codebase.
- Ability to quickly understand and work within an existing platform, rather than exclusively on new projects.
- Excellent communication skills for advocating technical decisions clearly.
- Comfortable delivering outcomes in a complex, high-volume environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code (Terraform or CDK) is a plus.
- Background in retail or e-commerce, as well as familiarity with GenAI or agentic workflows, is desirable.
