Overview
The D365 F&O Project/Programme Manager will spearhead the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance for a well-established UK business, focusing on genuine business transformation. This contract role emphasizes strong client-side leadership and governance, ensuring effective interaction with the implementation partner while driving change management and adoption across the finance organization. The contractor will engage with senior stakeholders to oversee program governance and maintain a business outcomes orientation throughout the project.
Responsibilities
- Lead the D365 Finance implementation from the client side.
- Own programme governance and engage with the Steering Committee and senior stakeholders.
- Manage and challenge the implementation partner against defined scope, milestones, quality, and outcomes.
- Drive business readiness, change management, and adoption initiatives across Finance and the wider organization.
- Coordinate activities across multiple trading entities within a geographically distributed business.
- Ensure the programme remains focused on achieving business outcomes rather than solely technical delivery.
Requirements
- Strong experience in leading D365 Finance / D365 F&O implementations.
- Proven client-side ERP programme or project leadership experience.
- Experience managing and challenging major Microsoft implementation partners.
- Solid understanding of Finance processes, including AP, AR, GL, purchasing, and invoicing.
- Excellent management skills for senior stakeholders and Steering Committees.
- Track record of successfully driving business change and adoption.
- Ability to provide structure, challenge, and direction during significant organizational change.
