Overview
We are seeking a Principal AI Consultant / AI Solutions Architect for a remote contract position with an established consultancy focused on Microsoft Data and AI solutions. This senior role will involve working closely with enterprise clients to architect and deliver innovative AI solutions, identifying high-value opportunities and balancing both strategic oversight and technical execution. The ideal candidate will engage in a hands-on capacity while leading client workshops and building production-ready systems utilizing Generative AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of AI and Generative AI solutions.
- Build and deploy AI agents and LLM-powered applications using Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Identify and assess commercially viable AI use cases in collaboration with clients.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions and AI workshops with senior stakeholders.
- Advise clients on the appropriateness of AI versus traditional automation solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities including technical scoping and solution design.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Assist clients in transitioning AI projects from proof-of-concept to production.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Principal AI Consultant, AI Solutions Architect, or Lead AI Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience delivering production-grade Generative AI solutions.
- Thorough understanding of the Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem.
- Experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, and AI agent development.
- Proficient in Python with expertise in building AI applications and APIs.
- Solid grasp of data engineering principles and cloud data platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead client workshops and pre-sales engagements.
- Strong communication skills and experience with senior business and technical stakeholders.
