Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with a strong background in AI and data transformation to contribute to a large-scale data initiative. The successful candidate will work remotely and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, document processes, and ensure successful user acceptance testing. This role is pivotal in delivering critical data projects and enhancing business adoption and governance frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct data validation and quality assurance activities.
- Define and document high-level process taxonomies and the conceptual data model.
- Produce detailed test scripts, scenarios, and acceptance criteria for user acceptance testing.
- Run UAT cycles with operational SMEs while balancing project deadlines with business as usual commitments.
- Gather and maintain a central set of business definitions and taxonomies across finance and operational data.
- Partner with operational leaders to drive the adoption of data standards and governance documentation.
- Translate complex business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories for data engineering teams.
- Map data dependencies between core platforms and transformation workstreams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst on complex data migration or transformation projects.
- Solid recent experience in data transformation programs, overseeing requirements definition through to business adoption.
- Exposure to AI initiatives related to data preparation for machine learning applications.
- Strong background in designing user acceptance testing frameworks and writing test scripts.
- Hands-on experience in capturing process taxonomies and building data dictionaries.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in supporting finance teams during high-pressure periods.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with enterprise reporting frameworks or data warehouse builds is desirable.
