Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Cyber Security Specialist to join our team for a 12-month contract, primarily working remotely with some on-site duties required. This role involves collaborating on significant digital transformation projects by providing expert security advice and assurance, focusing on risk management and cyber security throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Provide security advice and assurance for major digital transformation projects.
- Conduct threat modelling and security design assessments.
- Coordinate penetration testing efforts, including scope definition and findings remediation.
- Review and assess both high-level and low-level solution designs for security compliance.
- Interpret security standards and adapt controls for specific projects.
- Maintain security design documentation and delivery evidence.
- Deliver clear security recommendations for project reviews and go-live approvals.
- Collaborate effectively within Agile project teams, supporting internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cyber security architecture, assurance, and risk management for enterprise-scale digital services.
- Demonstrated ability to significantly contribute to the security of new digital services from scoping to operational handover.
- Strong background in conducting threat modelling and security risk assessments.
- Experience coordinating independent penetration testing and managing findings.
- Familiarity with security standards and best practices relevant to digital services.
- Expertise in securing Azure-hosted environments and familiarity with enterprise security technologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage security aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills for delivering risk-based security recommendations.
