Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a fast-paced team on a 6-month contract, specializing in Microsoft Fabric and Azure data solutions. The contractor will work collaboratively with technical teams to design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring the delivery of scalable and reliable data services. This role is primarily remote-based, with occasional travel required within the UK.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes.
- Work with Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Factory.
- Transform and model data using SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
Requirements
- Strong experience in a Senior Data Engineer role.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
- Proficient in SQL, with experience in Python and/or PySpark.
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.
- Understanding of modern data architecture and best practices.
