Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ruby Developer for a 6-month contract opportunity, with potential for extension, to join a dynamic engineering team. In this hands-on role, you will focus on the development and enhancement of modern software applications while collaborating closely with engineers and product stakeholders. Your expertise will drive the delivery of new features and improvements in existing systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable applications using Ruby.
- Build clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Develop and integrate APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver new features.
- Contribute to technical discussions and enhance engineering practices.
- Support maintenance and evolution of existing systems.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Ruby.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks.
- Proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices.
- Experience with automated testing and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with modern development practices, including CI/CD.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
