Overview
The Product Engineer role involves joining a dynamic team in a scaling tech business that utilizes AI-driven engineering techniques. The contractor will work closely with a newly formed team to expand an industry-leading product, mastering technologies such as Go, AWS, and React, while adopting and championing innovative AI workflows to optimize software development processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical excellence through coding, design, and problem-solving.
- Take ownership of backend development with Go and AWS infrastructure.
- Adopt and implement AI-driven engineering practices to enhance workflow efficiencies.
- Contribute to and lead technical design discussions, evaluating new ideas before implementation.
- Drive automation and scripting efforts on MacOS and Linux.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines aligned with Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Mentor team members through code reviews and collaborative programming.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure alignment with business goals and security practices.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Go and AWS at a senior or lead level.
- Hands-on experience embedding AI tools into engineering workflows.
- Understanding of product lifecycle and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working with various technologies and frameworks.
- Interest in contributing to an early-stage product environment to shape technical architecture.
- Experience with React and React Native is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Passion for problem-solving and tackling complex challenges.
