Overview
As a Product Owner in a Commodities trading firm, you will oversee the day-to-day management of digital products utilized by the trading team and, occasionally, their clients. Collaborating closely with internal traders and external service providers, your primary focus will be to ensure that product developments effectively support business operations. You'll shape and manage the product delivery roadmap, engaging actively with stakeholders to refine requirements and facilitate smooth communication between teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day product management of digital tools for traders and clients.
- Collaborate with internal traders to gather and shape product requirements.
- Own the delivery roadmap and ensure timely progress of product development.
- Write user stories and facilitate refinement sessions with the engineering team.
- Conduct prioritisation discussions to align product features with business needs.
- Monitor product performance and track relevant metrics for ongoing improvements.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal traders and handle external client requests for custom functionalities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, preferably in a trading or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of physical trading, LNG, and freight logistics.
- Experience in managing digital products and refining product requirements.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze and track product metrics to drive enhancements.
