Overview
The Product Owner will play a critical role in the management of digital products for a commodities trading firm specializing in Freight, LNG, and Logistics. This position entails close collaboration with internal traders and external providers to ensure that product development aligns with business needs, ultimately facilitating the trading operations. The role focuses on owning the delivery roadmap, shaping product requirements, and overseeing day-to-day product management to ensure continuous delivery and improvement over a six-month engagement, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal traders to gather and refine product requirements.
- Manage the delivery roadmap and oversee daily product management activities.
- Run refinement sessions with the engineering team to promote consistent delivery.
- Monitor product performance and track key metrics for improvement.
- Act as the main contact for internal traders and manage client-facing platform requests.
- Facilitate prioritization discussions to align development with business needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within a trading or financial services environment.
- Understanding of physical trading, freight, LNG, and logistics markets.
- Strong skills in product management and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Experience managing delivery roadmaps and writing user stories.
- Knowledge of metrics tracking and product performance evaluation.
