Program Manager

Overview

The Programme Manager will be integral to a renowned organization currently undergoing a multi-year transformation initiative, overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of critical business and technology programs. This role entails working closely with senior stakeholders, managing complex projects, and ensuring delivery aligns with strategic objectives. The position offers the chance to influence key initiatives while contributing to significant organizational change in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale transformation programmes from initiation through to implementation and business adoption.
  • Define, manage and control programme scope, schedules, budgets, dependencies, risks and benefits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, sponsors and executive leadership teams.
  • Establish and lead effective governance forums, steering committees and decision-making processes.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and delivery partners, ensuring agreed outcomes and commitments are achieved.
  • Drive collaboration across business and technology teams, ensuring alignment of priorities and delivery objectives.
  • Oversee programme financial management, reporting, forecasting and benefit realisation activities.
  • Ensure risks, issues and dependencies are proactively identified, managed and escalated where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation programmes within complex and regulated environments.
  • Strong experience leading programmes involving both business change and technology delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging at executive and board level.
  • Experience managing programme governance, financial control, suppliers and delivery partners.
  • Strong understanding of programme and project delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.
  • Experience overseeing cross-functional teams across analysis, engineering, testing, operations and business functions.
  • Demonstrable experience managing programme risks, dependencies and competing priorities within fast-paced environments.
  • Professional programme or project management certifications such as MSP, PRINCE2, PMP or Agile qualifications.
