Overview
The Programme Lead will be responsible for guiding a transformative programme from the discovery phase through to implementation, ensuring that it is both structured and requirement-led. This fully remote position will involve some travel to Scotland and requires collaboration across various stakeholders to maintain project momentum while minimizing rework and ambiguity. The ideal candidate will have significant experience leading complex transformations and engaging effectively with both technical and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Establish and operate the programme governance model, including decision routes, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies).
- Create an integrated roadmap and mobilisation plan through detailed requirements, design, readiness, and MVP (Minimum Viable Product) delivery.
- Lead cross-workstream coordination across business analysis, technical assurance, and client stakeholders.
- Drive requirements maturity to ensure the backlog is sufficiently defined and prioritised.
- Provide concise executive reporting and maintain a single credible delivery narrative.
- Maintain scope discipline to distinguish confirmed decisions from assumptions.
- Build a practical route from MVP to later CRM capability without premature commitments.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading complex transformations from Discovery/strategy to delivery.
- Strong capability in establishing programme governance and controls.
- Experience in requirements mobilisation alongside analysts, architects, and subject matter experts.
- Background in a public sector or regulated environment.
- Skilled in managing senior client stakeholders and translating ambiguity into actionable plans.
- Experience with incremental or product-style delivery with readiness gates.
- Exposure to CRM business transformation, preferable with Dynamics 365.
