Project Manager

Overview

The Project Manager - Ethernet will oversee impactful fibre technology infrastructure projects for a leading telecom provider, focusing on network delivery and technical changes across various stakeholders. Working in a hybrid arrangement, this contractor will engage with engineering teams, manage supplier relationships, and report to the Programme Delivery Manager. This role is central to continuing the rollout of network infrastructure and ensuring effective onboarding of partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fibre technology infrastructure projects.
  • Manage suppliers, engineers, and third-party delivery partners.
  • Own project plans, budgets, risks, and governance.
  • Drive delivery across network build, connectivity, and integration workstreams.
  • Support the onboarding of Layer 3 partners and expand into Layer 2 onboarding.
  • Provide assistance regarding Customer Premises Equipment (CPE).
  • Deliver regular updates to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Project Management experience in fibre, telecoms, or network infrastructure.
  • Essential hands-on experience with Ethernet and telecom environments.
  • Proven track record in delivering fibre rollout and network transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of FTTP, WAN, LAN, and carrier services.
  • Experience with onboarding Layer 3 and Layer 2 partners is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder, supplier, and delivery management.
  • A hands-on and delivery-focused approach to project management.
