Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of high voltage (HV) substation projects across Scotland. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, coordinating efforts between site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining office work with project site visits, and presents opportunities for long-term engagement in a growing sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of HV substation projects from inception through to completion.
- Oversee project programmes, budgets, quality, and safety performance.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client stakeholders.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications and industry standards.
- Manage project reporting, progress updates, and commercial requirements.
- Support planning, risk management, and delivery strategy.
- Work closely with Site Managers and engineering teams for successful project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing HV substation projects.
- Strong background delivering electrical infrastructure projects.
- Experience working within the transmission and distribution sector.
- Knowledge of HV works, substations, and associated construction activities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site-based teams.
- SMSTS certification preferred.
