Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background to oversee a range of energy projects within the power generation sector. The successful candidate will manage project delivery, commercial performance, and foster relationships with contractors, suppliers, and customers. This role primarily operates in a remote capacity with occasional travel required throughout the UK for site visits and supplier meetings.
Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of energy and power generation projects.
- Oversee project budgets, costs, and profitability.
- Coordinate project programmes, resources, and contractual requirements.
- Manage suppliers and contractors on-site and off-site.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements, CDM, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Foster strong customer relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction.
- Collaborate with design engineers to meet technical deliverables.
- Identify and resolve technical, commercial, and programme issues.
Requirements
- HNC/HND or higher qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing energy or construction projects.
- Proven experience in power generation or energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and civil systems.
- Familiarity with NEC3 contracts and contract management.
- Ability to manage project budgets and ensure profitability.
- Good understanding of CDM and Health & Safety legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
