Overview
The Enterprise AI Architect will engage in a six-month contract focused on defining and standardizing AI architecture across a national charity organization. Working closely with multiple directorates, this role will establish a prioritized roadmap for AI integration, ensuring alignment with governance and strategic objectives. The architect will lead design clinics, facilitate knowledge transfer, and create a long-term vision for AI use within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Define the enterprise AI architecture, including current, transition, and target states.
- Develop a five-year AI strategy and prioritised roadmap based on assessments of strategic fit and value.
- Establish AI design standards and reusable patterns while supporting AI advocates through workshops.
- Align governance with technical assurance, ensuring compliance with information security and data protection policies.
- Create a scalable agent architecture framework covering identity, authentication, and observability requirements.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to educate permanent team members on AI architecture.
Requirements
- Proven experience in enterprise or solution architecture within large, complex organizations.
- Experience in AI and data architecture, specifically developing and implementing target architectures or capability models.
- Practical knowledge of defining agent architecture, including identity and permissions.
- Capability to assess and prioritize AI opportunities across various business areas.
- Strong understanding of knowledge and data architecture relevant to AI, including metadata and content quality.
- Excellent written communication skills, able to produce clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in governance-heavy environments, such as public sector or charitable organizations is preferred.
