Data Architect

Overview

The Data Architect (Housing) will play a critical role in integrating an acquired business into the host environment for a not-for-profit organization, focusing on data architecture within the housing sector. The contractor will work remotely, taking ownership of understanding and standardizing complex data estates across multiple legacy systems to enable successful data migration to the NEC platform. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that the architectural standards align with organizational goals and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Take architectural ownership of complex data estates from acquired organizations.
  • Rationalize and standardize data for usability and migration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with business objectives.
  • Ensure effective data migration processes to the host's NEC platform.
  • Manage vendor relationships to support data architecture development.
  • Implement the Well-Architected Framework in data projects.
  • Utilize Agile methodology to guide project work and ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in data architecture across multiple organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Housing and Asset Management systems, ideally NEC.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Dynamics.
  • Background in data migration and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with the Well-Architected Framework.
  • Proficient in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong vendor management skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and time management abilities.
