Project Scheduler Site

Overview

We are seeking a Project Scheduler for the Tees Valley Energy Recovery Facility (TVERF) to support the project team in delivering key scheduling functions. This hands-on role requires an individual who can quickly integrate into the team, take ownership of projects, and effectively communicate across various stakeholders. The scheduler will play a critical role in developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely progress and coordination among internal teams and subcontractors over a two-year contract period.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Site System Time Schedules (S-STS), incorporating various construction activities.
  • Monitor and report on schedule performance, managing risks and opportunities using CPM and Float Management techniques.
  • Coordinate project schedules with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and consortium partners to resolve issues.
  • Provide weekly and monthly progress reports, including S-curves, and assist the Construction Manager with data collection.
  • Maintain an as-built schedule to compare baseline vs actual progress and recommend improvements to prevent delays.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in project scheduling within heavy/industrial sectors.
  • Proficient in HSEQ regulations and possess a valid site safety certification (SCC, SafePass, CSCS, CCNSG, or equivalent).
  • Strong skills in MS Suite, SharePoint, MS Project, and advanced Primavera P6 software.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to evaluate alternatives, clearly present ideas, and derive lessons to optimise project outcomes.
