Overview
The Project Scheduler will play a critical role in supporting the project team at the Tees Valley Energy Recovery Facility, focusing on the development and management of project schedules. This hands-on position requires a proactive individual with the ability to integrate quickly and take ownership of their tasks to ensure successful project delivery over a two-year contract period.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Site System Time Schedules (S-STS) for construction, M&E, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor and report on schedule performance using CPM and Float Management, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate schedules across internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and consortium partners to resolve issues proactively.
- Provide weekly and monthly progress reports, including S-curves, and support the Construction Manager with data collection.
- Maintain an as-built schedule and compare baseline versus actual progress, recommending improvements to avoid delays.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with project scheduler experience in heavy/industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of HSEQ regulations and relevant site safety certifications (SCC, SafePass, CSCS, CCNSG, or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency in MS Suite, SharePoint, MS Project, and advanced Primavera P6.
- Proactive and solution-oriented with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to evaluate alternatives and present ideas clearly to optimize project outcomes.
