Overview
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer with active SC Clearance to join a public sector project focused on enhancing a cloud-based occupancy data platform hosted in AWS. This role involves collaborating with engineering, product, and architecture teams to ensure quality and effectiveness throughout the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining testing strategies, executing test suites, and integrating automated testing practices, while working part-time on-site in Central London.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the overall testing strategy and quality assurance approach for the platform.
- Design, develop and execute manual and automated test suites.
- Validate platform functionality, integrations and end-to-end business workflows.
- Perform API, integration and data pipeline testing across AWS-hosted services.
- Verify data quality, transformation logic and reporting outputs.
- Produce comprehensive test evidence aligned to acceptance criteria and delivery milestones.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, architects and product teams to improve quality and test coverage.
Requirements
- Active SC Clearance.
- Extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance within Agile delivery environments.
- Proven experience defining test strategies, test plans and quality assurance frameworks.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and systems integration testing.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation and analysis.
- Experience embedding testing practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
