Overview
In this role as a Senior Programme Manager for the REACH Compliance Programme, you will lead a critical initiative focused on regulatory compliance within the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Reporting to the Head of Environmental Health & Safety, you will coordinate efforts to ensure adherence to UK and EU REACH regulations concerning chemicals and metal coatings used in gas turbine products. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to drive compliance and business continuity.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the REACH Compliance Programme across the business.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of the REACH programme regarding chemicals and metal coatings in gas turbines.
- Ensure compliance with UK, EU, and global REACH and EHS regulations.
- Drive business continuity efforts to mitigate risks associated with REACH sunset dates.
- Coordinate materials compliance and tracking activities across product lines.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and EHS functions.
- Provide updates, risk management, and compliance reporting to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Strong educational background in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Toxicology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience in Programme/Project Management within manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Extensive knowledge of REACH legislation and EHS regulations.
- Demonstrated experience managing compliance programmes related to chemicals, coatings, or regulated materials.
- Ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- Experience in roles such as REACH Coordinator, Compliance Manager, or Regulatory Specialist.
- Background in gas turbines, power generation, aerospace, or heavy manufacturing sectors.
