Overview

The Head of Information Technology will take a leadership role in overseeing the technology transition during a major acquisition for a fast-growing renewable energy company. This position entails managing IT separation, ERP systems, and supplier relationships, with a focus on shaping the long-term IT strategy across multiple operational sites. Collaboration with various stakeholders and a hands-on approach will be crucial for success in this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT separation and transition activities during acquisition completion.
  • Own relationships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and other third-party suppliers.
  • Oversee the carve-out and validation of Business Central and other business systems.
  • Map end-to-end processes across finance, operations, and regulatory reporting.
  • Assess the long-term fit of Business Central and define the systems roadmap.
  • Evaluate integrations for CRM and logistics with core ERP capabilities.
  • Provide oversight of operational technology across multiple sites.
  • Identify delivery risks and drive resolutions proactively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading IT transformation and managing ERP, CRM, or business systems programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navision, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience managing MSPs and external implementation partners.
  • Ability to operate across business processes, systems architecture, and project delivery.
  • Self-sufficient in a fast-paced and lean work environment.
  • Pragmatic with a hands-on approach to process mapping and delivery.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites when required.
