Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with active SC or DV clearance to engage in a major programme involving sensitive government and defence systems. The successful contractor will focus on architecture assurance, reviewing and challenging technical designs and architecture decisions, while collaborating in a complex technology environment, primarily using Azure and Microsoft 365. This role provides an opportunity to contribute significantly to high-stakes projects within the defence sector.
Responsibilities
- Review and assure technical and solution designs.
- Challenge architecture decisions and provide informed recommendations.
- Assess the suitability of proposed solutions for security, scalability, and performance.
- Consider requirements related to performance, resilience, and latency.
- Provide architectural guidance in complex technology environments.
- Identify technical risks, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate across Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware, and defence networks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect, ideally at SFIA levels 5/6.
- Strong background in Azure development and architecture.
- Experience with complex, sensitive, or highly secure government or defence systems.
- Demonstrated capability in reviewing and assuring technical designs.
- Thorough understanding of architecture principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of high-grade cryptography and secure defence networks is highly desirable.
