Overview
We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to play a pivotal role in a transformative data and analytics initiative. This hands-on position will involve designing and building scalable semantic models using ThoughtSpot and Snowflake, while also migrating existing Power BI reporting. The contractor will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver accurate insights and improve the organization's analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable semantic models across ThoughtSpot and Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake data models for reporting and AI use cases.
- Translate existing Power BI reports, DAX, and business logic into the new platform.
- Create high-quality ThoughtSpot Liveboards, visualizations, and self-service analytics.
- Enrich models with business definitions, context, and metadata for AI-generated insights.
- Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Establish modeling standards, governance, and best practices.
- Support the wider rollout and adoption of ThoughtSpot across the organization.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with ThoughtSpot.
- Strong experience working with Snowflake.
- Excellent SQL and DAX skills.
- Experience with ETL and transformation tools such as Matillion.
- A strong understanding of semantic, dimensional, and analytical data modeling.
- Experience building dashboards and self-service reporting solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience creating AI-ready semantic layers or migrating from Power BI is desirable.
