Overview
We are looking for a Senior Data Migration Engineer to support a large-scale transformation programme that focuses on preparing critical data for the go-live and deployment phases of ERP and middle-office platform replacements. The successful candidate will work mainly remotely, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure data quality and readiness. This role is key in delivering effective data migration solutions while contributing to a high-profile initiative.
Responsibilities
- Execute the end-to-end data preparation process across multiple data domains.
- Map source data to target data models while applying agreed business rules.
- Cleansing, validating, and preparing large volumes of data for migration.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues and exceptions.
- Document mapping logic, transformations, and migration decisions.
- Prepare data outputs for subject matter expert review and incorporate feedback through to sign-off.
- Collaborate with data owners, system owners, and project stakeholders to maintain migration readiness.
- Support knowledge transfer and documentation handover at the project's conclusion.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering data migration projects within ERP or other enterprise system implementations.
- Strong data mapping, cleansing, and transformation expertise.
- Experience with SAP, SQL, and Python.
- Familiarity with S4 Hana is desirable.
- Ability to work within a structured data migration methodology.
