Overview
We are seeking a Data Architect with substantial SQL and PostgreSQL experience, specifically within the insurance sector, to enhance and govern enterprise data platforms. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to modernize data landscapes and improve data management practices. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise in relational database architecture and data modeling to support critical insurance business functions.
Responsibilities
- Design and modernize enterprise data platforms focused on insurance domain functionalities.
- Develop complex SQL queries and optimize database performance.
- Create and implement data governance practices, ensuring data quality and compliance.
- Assess existing data landscapes and propose modernization and migration strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions and project updates.
- Design logical, conceptual, and physical data models tailored for operational and analytical applications.
- Implement data integration solutions and support ETL/ELT processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Modeller, with a focus on enterprise-scale platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of insurance processes, including policy administration, claims, and underwriting.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL, including database design and performance tuning.
- Expertise in designing data models and understanding data warehousing architectures.
- Experience in data governance, metadata management, and data security practices.
- Capacity to evaluate data systems and advise on modernization and integration strategies.
- Strong communication skills for bridging technical and business discussions.
