Overview
We are looking for a qualified Microsoft Cloud Platform Owner to oversee a global Microsoft cloud environment. This role involves providing governance and strategic direction for Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and associated Azure services, ensuring they are secure, well-governed, and effectively aligned with business needs. The contractor will work closely with various teams across the organization to support migrations and implementation of best practices for cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the Microsoft 365 roadmap, encompassing Office, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Act as the design authority for Microsoft 365 governance, standards, configuration, and adoption.
- Provide oversight of Entra ID, Intune, and associated Azure platform dependencies.
- Govern platform security, compliance, and access management including Conditional Access and Privileged Identity Management.
- Drive platform standardisation, automation, and user adoption initiatives.
- Manage demand intake, prioritisation, and governance of platform changes.
- Oversee Microsoft licensing governance, optimisation, and cloud cost management.
- Support migration and transformation initiatives related to collaboration and identity services.
Requirements
- Strong experience managing or governing Microsoft cloud platforms in large enterprises.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Proven track record in delivering or managing migrations to Microsoft 365 environments.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft cloud governance, security, compliance, and licensing.
- Experience in Microsoft 365 licensing transformation programmes, including E3 to E5 migrations.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, and Infrastructure teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, and Conditional Access is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Intune and endpoint management is advantageous.
