Overview
The Financial Controller will support the senior finance leadership team during a period of growth and transformation within a private equity-backed organization. This hands-on role requires an experienced finance professional to enhance financial reporting, controls, and processes, while also providing support to the finance team and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of financial information from acquired businesses.
- Oversee the monthly management accounts process across multiple legal entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close delivery.
- Produce high-quality management reporting, including budget variance analysis.
- Monitor cash flow and identify opportunities to improve working capital.
- Support year-end audit activities and liaise with external auditors.
- Assist with financial due diligence and finance support for acquisitions.
- Optimize finance systems and processes to improve efficiency and controls.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working in fast-paced and changing environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems is desirable.
- Exposure to acquisitions, integrations or financial due diligence is a plus.
