Overview
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in AKS and Kubernetes for a 3-month remote contract role aimed at enhancing infrastructure in the payments sector. In this position, you will join a cohesive engineering team, taking ownership of the Azure cluster and leading efforts to validate and strengthen the platform while collaborating closely with the team's technical lead.
Responsibilities
- Complete and maintain the Azure (AKS) cluster and its GitOps pipeline.
- Harden security through Azure Managed Identity and effective secrets management.
- Own the MSAL gateway and the Databricks authentication flow.
- Validate the current proof-of-concept and implement recommended improvements.
- Write supportive documentation for handover and ongoing maintenance duties.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AKS and Kubernetes at a senior level.
- Solid expertise in Azure identity services, including Managed Identity, MSAL, and secrets management.
- Proficient in GitOps practices.
- Ability to assess and improve existing systems effectively.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to integrate into existing workflows.
