Overview
This contract role is for a Senior Full Stack Engineer specializing in React and TypeScript, who will take ownership of a specific area of development, contributing to both front-end and back-end processes. The engineer will work collaboratively with the team, making key technical decisions while ensuring clear communication throughout the development cycle. This is a remote-first position with flexible office access, intended for individuals based within a reasonable distance from designated UK or Romanian cities.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain applications using TypeScript and React on the front end.
- Design and develop scalable APIs and cloud-native applications on the back end using Node (Express or NestJS).
- Take ownership of a specific self-contained area of the build and lead its technical decisions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment and clarity on ongoing projects.
- Communicate proactively with the team about progress and challenges.
- Meet project delivery deadlines while maintaining a high pace of development.
- Engage in the full development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
Requirements
- Proven experience with TypeScript in commercial applications for both front-end and back-end.
- Extensive knowledge of React and its ecosystem.
- Experience building APIs and cloud-native solutions with Node.js (Express or NestJS).
- Ability to manage an isolated segment of a project while coordinating with a fast-moving team.
- Strong communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
