Overview
We are seeking two experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineers for a hands-on, six-month contract role. These contractors will play a crucial role in supporting a major infrastructure transformation for a customer-focused organization, working with a broad range of technologies and contributing to both BAU support and project work. The position requires a proactive individual capable of operating independently within a dynamic environment, ensuring effective management of third-line support and ongoing cloud migration initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide third-line infrastructure support, including troubleshooting and break/fix operations.
- Manage Azure infrastructure components such as VMs, networking, storage, and backups.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Intune.
- Troubleshoot and remediate issues using Cisco Meraki networking solutions.
- Perform PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
- Support legacy on-premise infrastructure, including older Windows Server environments.
- Assist in the removal of legacy technologies and facilitate cloud migration efforts.
- Contribute to smaller infrastructure projects and improvements as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Microsoft and Azure infrastructure.
- Strong networking knowledge, including Cisco Meraki technologies.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with legacy systems and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
- Experience managing VMware/Horizon and Hyper-V environments is advantageous.
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving in complex infrastructure settings.
