Overview
The Senior Network Engineer will play a key role in designing and implementing solutions to enhance a dynamic global network within the financial services sector. This position involves collaborating with a team to ensure maximum uptime for users while working in a hybrid arrangement, splitting time between remote and on-site work. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of network infrastructure and have experience with cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Develop secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures using technologies like VPNs and load balancers.
- Provision, configure, and manage cloud-based network resources across AWS and Azure.
- Enforce robust security measures including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Continuously monitor network performance and optimize for stability and efficiency.
- Connect cloud environments with on-premises infrastructure using secure methods.
- Utilize automation tools and scripting languages to streamline network operations.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience designing and supporting network infrastructure within AWS and Azure.
- Extensive experience in Cisco Meraki technologies (switching, SD-WAN, Wireless).
- In-depth knowledge of network fundamentals, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, VLAN, WAN, MPLS, etc.).
- Excellent experience in firewalls (preferably Palo Alto or Fortinet).
- Experience implementing and administering Wi-Fi solutions.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry is highly advantageous.
