Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join a prominent organization in the Defence industry. The successful contractor will play a critical role in strengthening the IT team by bringing advanced expertise in network security and management, primarily focusing on hands-on Cato administration and enterprise network infrastructure. This position involves close collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and knowledge transfer within the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage SD WAN traffic and Cato administration.
- Diagnose complex network performance and connectivity issues.
- Implement and manage enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Perform practical network security tasks, including configuring firewall rules.
- Collaborate with the team to educate and support in skill development.
- Engage proactively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Document network configurations and processes clearly.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with Cato administration and SD WAN management.
- Understanding of routing, traffic policies, and network troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with enterprise network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of network security principles and firewall configurations.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki configuration is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud connectivity and hybrid infrastructure is a plus.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and document processes clearly.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills to manage senior-level responsibilities.
