Overview
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing the IT capabilities of a well-known brand within the Defence sector. This position involves designing, delivering, and supporting complex systems, while collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams. With a focus on virtualisation, advanced networking, security technologies, and multi-site infrastructure management, the contractor will bring essential expertise to the IT team, ensuring efficient operations and robust system performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex infrastructure systems.
- Administer and manage Nutanix clusters.
- Oversee Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune deployments.
- Manage SD-WAN traffic using Cato.
- Configure and support Cisco Meraki, if applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Document technical processes and system configurations.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Nutanix administration.
- Proficient in managing Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune.
- Experience with Cato SD-WAN traffic management.
- Familiarity with Citrix or Parallels is desirable.
- Understanding of Cisco Meraki configurations is a bonus.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage senior-level responsibilities.
- Proven track record as a proactive team player.
