Overview
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen the IT team within a reputable Defence industry brand. The successful contractor will bring hands-on expertise in areas such as virtualization, advanced networking, and security technologies. This role requires an ability to design, deliver, and support complex systems effectively, while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex multi-site infrastructure solutions.
- Support virtualization platforms and manage remote application delivery.
- Oversee enterprise backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults across infrastructure and applications.
- Enforce security policies and compliance measures.
- Collaborate with team members to document processes and systems.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in enterprise networking, including switching and WAN technologies.
- Hands-on expertise with virtualization technologies and solutions.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with enterprise backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
- Knowledge of Microsoft security tools, including Defender and identity protection.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across various infrastructure layers.
- Ability to communicate effectively and document technical processes.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills for managing responsibilities.
