Overview
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing the IT capabilities of a prominent organization in the Defense industry. This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive hands-on experience in virtualization, advanced networking, Microsoft security technologies, and multi-site infrastructure. The engineer will work closely with the IT team, contributing to the design, delivery, and support of complex systems while ensuring effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and support complex infrastructure systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance and maintain enterprise applications.
- Implement and manage virtualization platforms and remote application delivery solutions.
- Troubleshoot and perform fault isolation across infrastructure and application layers.
- Manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Develop and enforce security governance and compliance policies.
- Document technical processes and infrastructure changes.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in enterprise networking, including switching, wireless, and WAN technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of virtualization clusters and multi-site replication.
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Familiarity with relational database platforms.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft security technologies and compliance tooling.
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Effective communication and documentation skills, with a proactive approach to team collaboration.
- Ability to manage technical responsibilities in a self-motivated manner.
