Overview
In this role, the Senior Software Engineer will join an innovative engineering team, focusing on the development and enhancement of a crucial platform that integrates with HubSpot and utilizes modern technologies like Agentic AI. The contractor will take ownership of responsibilities ranging from hands-on development to technical leadership and architectural decision-making, collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization to drive the adoption of new technologies and improve system functionalities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend applications using Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Take technical ownership of a business-critical platform, delivering new features, integrations, and ongoing improvements.
- Develop and integrate intelligent solutions using Agentic AI technologies into existing systems.
- Drive architectural decisions, identify technical dependencies, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
- Support HubSpot integrations and ensure alignment with the wider technology ecosystem.
- Mentor engineers, promoting best practices and high-quality development.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on development experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Proven experience working with Agentic AI, including AI agents or autonomous workflows.
- Demonstrable technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions.
- Strong software design and architecture capabilities.
- Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of HubSpot and its integration capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with ownership of complex technical challenges.
