Overview
We are looking for a Senior Programme Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Lead to support a significant technology transformation programme for a central government initiative. This remote role, with one day required on-site in London, involves collaborating closely with programme leadership, technical teams, and senior stakeholders to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in communications strategies tailored to large-scale technology projects, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and informed about the programme's progress and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the programme communications strategy and stakeholder engagement plan.
- Translate complex technical information into accessible language for non-technical and executive audiences.
- Create high-quality presentations and briefings for C-suite executives and programme boards using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Facilitate senior stakeholder engagement through mapping and planning, and manage expectations effectively.
- Align communications with programme reporting and ensure transparency in communications of progress.
- Establish communications governance and maintain standards for quality and approvals.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in communications for large-scale technology transformation programmes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong experience engaging with C-suite executives and senior leadership teams.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating executive-level presentations.
- Experience in stakeholder mapping and relationship management.
- Understanding of programme delivery, governance, and reporting mechanisms.
- Active SC clearance preferred or eligible for SC vetting.
